Former Washington volleyball coach Bill Neville has agreed to become coach of the Sound Premier volleyball team for 2013.

Neville brings over 45 years of national, collegiate and club coaching experience to the Sound Premier team's second year of existence. The team is part of the Premier Volleyball League, a grass-roots effort by USA Volleyball to create a professional league in the United States.

"Having a coach with the history of success that Bill Neville has will help the Sound Premier volleyball team accomplish its mission of showcasing the best women's volleyball in the Puget Sound region," said John Bryant, USA Volleyball Puget Sound region commissioner.

Neville was an assistant coach for the U.S. men's team that won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics.
