The director of college football's Las Vegas Bowl is stepping down.

Tina Kunzer-Murphy said Wednesday that after more than 10 years heading the late December event, it's time to step aside.

The game has had three title sponsors during that time. It's now called the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas, and is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television.

ESPN regional executive Pete Derzis calls the event a continued success.

Kunzer-Murphy joined ESPN in 1999 and became bowl executive in 2001.

She's now 59. She notes the bowl marked its 20th year in 2011 and sold out six of the last seven years.

She says she hopes to find another role in college sports, but isn't announcing anything yet.

The 2012 game is scheduled Dec. 22 at Sam Boyd Stadium.
