LONDON —

BMX cyclist Arielle Martin has withdrawn from the London Olympics because of injury.

USA Cycling says the 27-year-old Martin was injured during a training session on Tuesday and was taken to a hospital in San Diego.

USA Cycling vice president Jim Miller says "she certainly would have contributed to our efforts in London and will be missed by the entire squad."

Miller will be replaced by 19-year-old Brooke Crain.
