Music soared out of London's Olympic stadium on Saturday as hundreds of performers rehearsed for the July 27 opening ceremony.

An arts worker at London's Olympic Park said at least 2,000 performers are expected for the rehearsal. She told The Associated Press that the opening ceremony, which is being directed by Danny Boyle, will involve 10,000 performers in all.

She spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not allowed to speak to the press.
