Rewind: Live chat with Sounders FC's Mauro Rosales

Mauro Rosales, a native of Argentina, was named MLS Newcomer of Year in 2011 after his first season with Sounders FC. He scored five goals and had 13 assists in 26 appearances, and the team was 13-3-6 with him starting and 10-1-2 when he scored or had an assist.

His 13 assists ranked third in MLS and set a club record, and five were on game-winning goals.

He signed a multi-year contract in December, and has returned to Seattle this season to notch one goal and one assist as the Sounders started 7-2-1.

Previously, Rosales played for Newell's Old Boys in Argentina, then signed with Dutch side Ajax, where he played in 63 league matches in three seasons and won two Dutch Cups and one Dutch Super Cup.

He returned to play in Argentina to play for River Plate for four seasons, and his team won the 2008 Argentina Clausura tournament.

Rosales talked about the Sounders, his international playing career and much more in a live chat May 15.
