HACKENSACK, N.J. —

Jim Mower scored 28 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Lafayette defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 98-92 in double overtime on Sunday.

The Leopards (5-9) trailed 67-66 after a 3 from Briahn Smith with 11 seconds remaining in regulation. Ryan Willen was then fouled with 1 second left and went to the free-throw line with a chance to win the game. Willen made his first attempt, but missed the second as the teams entered the first overtime period tied at 67.

A free throw from Mike Scott with 18 seconds left in the first overtime tied the score at 79 and Willen missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer, forcing a second overtime period.

Lafayette pulled away from the Knights (3-8) in the second overtime thanks to Mower's 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range.

Mike Scott scored 23 points and Kamil Svrdlik added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Fairleigh Dickinson.
