HOUSTON —

Los Angeles Dodgers right hander Vicente Padilla will not make his scheduled start against the Houston Astros on Sunday because of a bulging disk in his neck.

Padilla (6-5) allowed three runs in four innings Monday against Atlanta, a day after he was activated from the disabled list.

Manager Joe Torre said Saturday "I don't see him pitching in the foreseeable future."

Carlos Monasterios (3-5) was to make Sunday's start.
