D-backs to release right-hander Jailen Peguero, 3 others sent to minors
The Arizona Diamondbacks have notified right-hander Jailen Peguero that he will be released on Friday.

Peguero's contract requires advance notice of his release. He appeared in seven games for the Diamondbacks last season and 18 in 2007. Last year with Arizona, he had no wins or losses and a 4.82 ERA in 9 1-3 innings. He had given up nine runs, seven earned, on 11 hits in five innings (four appearances) this spring.
Arizona made three other player moves involving pitchers on Wednesday. Right-hander Seth Etherton was sent to minor league camp. Left-hander Jon Coutlangus and right-hander Esmerling Vasquez were optioned to Triple-A Reno.
