Two days before they make their NBA summer-league debuts, Kevin Durant and Jeff Green, taken No. 2 and No. 5 respectively in the NBA draft last week, signed rookie contracts with the Sonics on Wednesday.

Per league rules, Durant will earn $3.4 million next season and $3.7 million in 2008-09. Green will make $2.5 million next season and $2.7 in his second year. The Sonics have two one-year options on both players and they're eligible to become restricted free agents in 2011.

Durant, a 6-foot-10 forward and the consensus college player of the year, and the 6-9 Green, the Big East Conference player of the year, will lead the Sonics summer team that begins play Friday against Dallas.

Green was acquired in a draft-day trade with Boston that sent seven-time All-Star guard Ray Allen to the Celtics. Seattle also landed Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak in the deal.
