The Washington Huskies announced this afternoon that running back Michael Houston has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team policy.

The Washington Huskies announced this afternoon that running back Michael Houston has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team policy.
Houston, a transfer from Texas who is redshirting this season, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft early Sunday morning and has a bail hearing Wednesday in King County District Court.
A release from the school says that Houston's status will be re-evaluated following its own investigation into the incident.
According to a police report, Houston, two other men and a woman were picked up by an Orange Cab at Déjà Vu, a strip club on Bothell Way NE. After the cab drove them to a nearby McDonald's, the woman spit on a window, the report said. When the cab driver stepped outside to call 911 on his cell phone, Houston jumped from the back seat to the front of the cab, and drove away.
According to the report, Seattle Police found the cab parked on Lake City Way NE, and saw Houston exiting the cab. Houston was then arrested and booked at King County Jail.
Houston was not with the Huskies last weekend when they traveled to California, losing a game in Berkeley to the Bears, 31-24.
Houston saw limited time with Texas last season as a freshman before deciding to transfer, gaining 27 yards on three carries.
He was admitted to UW in August and began practicing with the Huskies a few days into fall camp. He had been expected to compete for immediate playing time at running back next season with starter Kenny James graduating.
