Kenny Irons: This running back already is considered a Heisman Trophy candidate. He was an unanimous All-SEC selection last year after gaining 1,293 yards. He spent two years at South Carolina before transferring. Irons is 5 feet 11, 200 pounds. His brother, David, is a star cornerback on the team.
Last year: Auburn was 9-3 and tied for first in the West Division of the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers beat rival Alabama, 28-18, for the fourth consecutive year, then lost to Wisconsin 24-10 in the Capital One Bowl.
