The Seahawks will officially open training camp July 29, according to the team's Web site.

Camp opens with full-team, two-a-day practices on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

Rookies and quarterbacks are to report to camp by July 27. All other veterans are to arrive by the following day.

The Seahawks will practice twice a day (at 8:45 a.m. and either 2 or 2:45 p.m.) until Aug. 6, when they'll hold an intrasquad scrimmage at Woodard Field. The start time for the scrimmage is to be determined, and admission is free.

Practices typically last 2 to 2 ½ hours in the morning and one to two hours in the afternoon, depending on if the second session is for special teams. Such practices are shorter.

The Seahawks' first exhibition game is at New Orleans, 5 p.m. (PDT) Aug. 12. Practice resumes two days later, and camp breaks Aug. 20 following a morning practice. The team then returns to Seattle for the exhibition home opener, on Aug. 22 against Dallas.
