7-19-94: Four 26-pound ceiling tiles fell from the roof of the Kingdome roughly two and a half hours before a scheduled Mariners game against the Baltimore Orioles. 11-5-94: First event held at Kingdome after the tiles fell, the Bacon Bowl football game between Seattle and Tacoma police. 38-54: Mariners' record when the tiles fell, good for fourth place in the AL West, 6½ games behind leader Texas. 49-63: Mariners' record when the season ended, good for third place, two games behind leader Texas. 51: Million dollars to fix the Kingdome ceiling, just a little shy of the $67 million it cost to build it in the 1970s. 41: Million dollars the money the M's said they lost due to 15 home games being played on the road.
