Sounders
The Seattle Sounders will honor the following former players by bringing them back for seven Saturday home games during the 2004 season to celebrate 30 years since the club first played. Jimmy Gabriel, former player and head coach who played in the club's first game in 1974, will be the first honoree at Saturday's 7 p.m. home opener against the expansion Edmonton Aviators: John Best, head coach, 1974-76 Chance Fry, forward, 1982, 1994-98 Jeff Stock, defender, 1978-83 Pepe Fernandez, forward 1974-76, 1981 Peter Hattrup, midfielder, 1994-95, 1999, 2001 Dave Gillett, defender, 1974-80 Cliff McCrath, TV announcer, 1970s
