Sporting Kansas City gets past Los Angeles Galaxy, 2-1 / MLS

Goals by Benny Feilhaber and Lawrence Olum, help Sporting K.C. extend unbeaten streak to six games.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Benny Feilhaber and Lawrence Olum both had goals and Sporting Kansas City defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1 on Saturday.

Sporting (10-5-5) extended its unbeaten streak to six games, while the Galaxy’s (7-4-6) unbeaten streak ended at eight.

Graham Zusi and Matt Besler signed long-term designated-player contracts to remain with K.C. earlier in the day.

Earthquakes 1, at Red Bulls 1

Steven Lenhart scored his first goal of the season in the 85th minute, and San Jose (4-8-5) rallied for draw against New York (5-6-9).

Union 1, at Fire 1

Sebastien Le Toux scored on a penalty kick in the 91st minute and Philadelphia (5-8-8) came back to tie Chicago (3-4-11).

Le Toux was awarded the penalty kick after Gonzalo Segares was called for a hand ball inside the penalty area. Segares turned his back on Le Toux’s shot, but the ball hit his right arm. Le Toux calmly slotted home the penalty kick inside the left post, past a diving Sean Johnson.

At Crew 2, Impact 1

Bernardo Anor scored twice and Columbus (5-7-8) ended a seven-game winless streak with a victory over Montreal (3-10-5).

Whitecaps 1, at Real Salt Lake 1

Joao Plata scored in the 81st minute to give Real Salt Lake (7-4-8) a draw against Vancouver (6-4-9).

Toronto FC 2, at Dynamo 2

Dominic Oduro scored in stoppage time before the end of the first half and Toronto FC (7-5-5) tied Houston (5-11-4).

At FC Dallas 2, Revolution 0

Andres Escobar and Tesho Akindele scored and FC Dallas (8-7-5) handed New England (7-10-2) its seventh consecutive loss.
