U.S. men overwhelm Guatemala

SAN DIEGO – Landon Donovan scored two goals in his return to the U.S. national soccer team, which beat Guatemala 6-0 Friday night in an exhibition match preceding the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Donovan, who played for the national team for the first time since Aug. 15, has a U.S.-record 51 goals.

Herculez Gomez (ex-player for the Seattle Sounders of United Soccer Leagues), Chris Wondolowski, Clarence Goodson and Alejandro Bedoya also scored.
