MONTREAL — Tony Cascio scored in stoppage time and the Colorado Rapids rallied for a 4-3 victory over Montreal on Saturday night, handing the Impact their first home loss of the season.
Deshorn Brown had tied the score in the 77th minute, and Atiba Harris and Dillon Powers also scored for the Rapids (6-7-5). Colorado ended a three-game losing streak and had their its highest scoring output of the season.
Daniele Paponi had his first two MLS goals, and Hassoun Camara also scored for Eastern Conference-leading Montreal (9-4-2), which dropped to 6-1-1 at home.
On the winning goal, the Rapids were on a counterattack when Cascio picked up a loose ball and saw his shot go off midfielder Patrice Bernier and past goalie Troy Perkins into the net.
The Impact showed some rust early on in their first action in 10 days, but the game picked up pace as they went on full attack in the final minutes.
The Rapids played defensively to start, slowing play whenever possible, and got the opening goal off a free kick in the 24th minute.
Harris stayed at the edge of the crowd in front of Perkins and headed Powers’ kick inside the far post for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Shea Salinas and Alan Gordon scored in second-half stoppage time to lift short-handed San Jose.
Salinas knocked in a loose rebound in the 92nd minute and Gordon scored on a header a minute later to give San Jose a second comeback victory in two seasons against the Galaxy at Stanford.
Both goals came after San Jose defender Victor Bernardez was ejected for receiving his second yellow card in the 77th minute.

Chad Barrett scored in the 88th minute to lift New England to a draw with Chivas.
New England got its equalizer just two minutes from the end as Barrett, who used to play his home games in Los Angeles with the Galaxy, was on the end of a cross from Diego Fagundez.
At Sporting K.C. 3, Crew 2
Kei Kamara scored twice, including the game-winner in the 80th minute, to help Kansas City past Columbus.
Claudio Bieler also scored and had the assist on Kamara’s second goal for Sporting, which snapped a four-match winless streak and moved into a second-place tie with Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference.

Blas Perez scored late in stoppage time to lift Dallas to a draw at Philadelphia.
FC Dallas picked up its second consecutive draw pulled into a first-place tie with Real Salt Lake and Portland atop the Western Conference.

Yordany Alvarez scored just before halftime to lead Real Salt Lake.
Javier Morales knocked the ball back out of the area to Alvarez on the right side, and he unleashed a right-footed shot that left Toronto goalkeeper Joe Bendik stuck to the line.

Camilo Sanvezzo scored his ninth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the second half, lifting Vancouver past D.C. United.
Sanvezzo has scored six goals in its last four league matches.
