HARRISON, N.J. — Thierry Henry scored his first goal since April 28 to lead the New York Red Bulls to a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire on Wednesday.
The rare weekday afternoon game was played in record-breaking 106-degree heat, the hottest July 18 ever recorded in New Jersey.
In the 71st minute, Henry blasted a left-footed shot that went in off the right post for his 10th goal of the season. New York (10-5-5) is the only MLS team that is undefeated at home, improving to 6-0-3.

Former Sounder Sanna Nyassi volleyed in the winner in the 68th minute to give Montreal (7-12-3) a victory over New England (6-9-4).
At Earthquakes 2, FC Dallas 1
Marvin Chavez scored against his former team and Alan Gordon added his eighth goal of the season to lead San Jose (13-4-4) over FC Dallas (4-10-7).
