Rewind: Live chat with FOX Soccer lead studio host Rob Stone

After a long broadcast career at ESPN, Rob Stone joined FOX in January of this year to become the lead studio host for FOX Soccer's signature studio programs including Goals on Sunday, Match Day and the UEFA Champions League.

While at ESPN, he served as a host, play-by-play announcer and sideline reporter for select MLS and U.S. Soccer telecasts, worked the last four FIFA World Cups and hosted 12 MLS Cups.

In addition to his vast soccer resume, Stone branched out over the years and became one of ESPN's most valuable and versatile personalities, serving as a college football/basketball play-by-play announcer, show host, sideline reporter and general assignment reporter. He also contributed to the network's coverage of horse racing and the PBA.

He played college soccer at Colgate and was an all-conference midfielder and captained the squad in his senior year.

Stone talked about MLS, the F.A. Cup, English Premier League, Champions League and more in a live chat May 1 on seattletimes.com.
