HOUSTON — Rookie Will Bruin scored three goals and the Houston Dynamo extended its unbeaten streak to six matches with a 4-1 victory over D.C. United in Major League Soccer on Friday.
Cam Weaver, a former standout for Seattle University and the Seattle Sounders in the United Soccer Leagues First Division, also scored for Houston (3-1-3) before a crowd of 20,577.
D.C. United (2-4-1) tied the score when Marc Burch scored in the 38th minute.
Bruin's hat trick was the first by an MLS rookie since Zack Schilawski of New England scored three against Toronto FC in April 2010.
