Rewind | Chat with Sounders FC player Osvaldo Alonso
Latest from the Sounders FC blog
Sounders FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso returned from injury in 2010 to propel Seattle to the league’s best record in the second half of the season.
Known for his hustle and defense, Alonso was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2010.
He joined the Sounders FC in 2009 from the USL’s Charleston Battery, with whom he was voted the league’s Rookie of the Year in 2008. He has also represented his home country of Cuba 17 times at the senior level.
Alonso talked about his experience with the Sounders FC, the 2011 season and much more in a live chat April 6.
