Ready for the WAC?

While there might be long-term concerns about the makeup of the Western Athletic Conference, Seattle U. isn't worried about that right now, simply happy to have a conference and a shot to get into the NCAA tournament.

Who's got point?

Cervante Burrell is gone after a solid career and the Redhawks will likely turn to a combination of senior Prince Obasi and JC transfer D'Vonne Pickett Jr. to take over at point guard.

Replacing the big guns

Seattle U. lost three of its top five scorers — Aaron Broussard (18.2), Eric Wallace (9.4) and Burrell (8.3).

Becoming a team

With just two returning full-time starters and six newcomers eligible to play, a key will be merging the new parts. Coach Cameron Dollar says this is the deepest team he has had, so there could be a lot of different rotations early.

Starting fast

The Redhawks hope to get off to a fast start, unlike last season when they began 3-12 before finishing strong to close at 12-15.
