FRESNO, Calif. — Kevin Olekaibe scored 25 of his career-high 43 points in the second half as Fresno State defeated Seattle 78-72 in a nonconference game Thursday night.
Olekaibe went 12 of 25 from the field and made all 14 of his free throws to become the first Fresno State (13-16) player to score 40 points in a game since Courtney Alexander on March 1, 2000.
Aaron Broussard scored 19 points and Clarence Trent had 14 for Seattle (10-15), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped.
Olekaibe opened the second half with consecutive three-pointers and made two free throws with 59 seconds remaining to ice the game for the Bulldogs.
