Aaron Broussard scored 17 points, getting 14 of those during the first half, and Sterling Carter had 12, leading Seattle to a 73-66 victory over Utah State on Thursday night.

The Redhawks (5-12) won their second straight game and gained a split of their two-game series against the Aggies (10-9). Utah State routed Seattle 78-53 on Dec. 17 in Logan, Utah.

Eric Wallace and Prince Obasi added 10 points apiece, giving the Redhawks four players in double figures after no one scored more than eight in the December loss.

Brockeith Pane led the Aggies with 20 points.

Seattle surrendered the first basket of the night, then ran off 13 straight points.

For the second straight game, the Redhawks shot better than 50 percent, hitting 25 of 47 (53 percent). They hit 56 percent (32 of 57) in Monday's 91-78 victory over Eastern Washington.

Utah State shot 43 percent (23 of 54).

The teams will be Western Athletic Conference opponents starting next season when Seattle officially joins the league in July.
