We are a GM family

My wife and I are not much into cars, but we owe a lot to the car industry. Both of our dads are retired autoworkers. Michelle's dad worked at a GM plant in Ohio for 36 years, while mine spent about the same amount of time at a SEAT plant in Barcelona.
Yesterday's news about GM filing for bankruptcy resonated at home, especially with her, because the Ohio plant where her dad used to work will be closed next year. The story the Times ran on the front page called GM a company that helped lift hundreds of thousands of American workers into the middle class. Michelle's dad said he was one of those workers.
As you would expect, we have GM cars: a Pontiac Vibe and an older Chevy Prizm I use to get back and forth between home and the park and ride. I've drawn it quite a few times, including this morning while waiting for my bus.
