Russell Wilson tells a joke evoking laughter after shock subsides
That demure description did not adequately reflect the floor routine quarterback Russell Wilson performed while evading San Francisco's pass rush on the Seahawks' first possession of the third quarter.
Wilson was asked about that play after the game, Art Thiel referencing it as the time he spent an hour and a half evading 49ers.
"Sidney Rice tole me late in the game -- with about 5 minutes left -- he said, 'When we get the ball back, let's just put you in there and let you scramble for 5 minutes,' " Wilson said. "I started laughing."
So did everyone in the room. Once the shock wore off that Seattle's quarterback had made a joke.
