Report: Richard Sherman's appeal of PED test result set for Friday
Appeal of the four-game suspension for Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will be held Friday, two days before game vs. SF.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 17, 2012
Cornerback Richard Sherman will have a hearing regarding his positive test for a banned substance on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
There is no timetable for a ruling on that case, and while Schefter subsequently stated that if the test result is upheld, Sherman could be suspended immediately, it's worth pointing out the NFL generally imposes a suspension at the beginning of the week and not two days before a game.
There's no hard and fast rule on the timing of a suspension, but that is the general guideline.
