Two-minute drill: Seahawks 58, Cardinals 0

Players of the game

Seahawks Tight end Anthony McCoy became the first Seahawk to surpass 100 yards receiving in a game this season. He caught three passes for 105 yards, including a 67-yarder that is Seattle's longest completion of the year.

Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman intercepted two passes, giving him six this season. He is tied for third-most of any NFL player. Sherman returned an interception 19 yards for a touchdown.

Seahawks Running back Marshawn Lynch rushed for 128 yards and scored three touchdowns, his most in any game since rushing for three scores against Carolina in 2010.

Play of the game

NFL teams are prohibited from returning a muffed punt. They are not, however, prohibited from recovering a muffed punt in the end zone, which is exactly what linebacker Malcolm Smith did in the second quarter. The Cardinals' Patrick Peterson -- who scored on four punt returns last season -- failed to catch Seattle's punt cleanly, failed to recover it as he battled for the ball against the Seahawks' Jeremy Lane. The ball bounced up to Smith who caught it in the end zone for Seattle's fourth touchdown of the game.

Turning point

Too bad the NFL doesn't give out assists for interceptions because linebacker K.J. Wright and cornerback Walter Thurmond each deserved one for linebacker Bobby Wagner's fist-quarter interception. The Cardinals had the ball, third-and-2 at the Seattle 37 when quarterback John Skelton threw a pass to Larry Fitzgerald only to have Wright knocked the ball away. Then Thurmond tipped it before it hit the ground and Wagner grabbed it, running 45 yards with the interception. Arizona never had the ball that far inside Seattle territory again.

Seahawks surprises

Seahawks Lynch rushed for 128 yards, rookie Robert Turbin gained 108. It was the first time in seven years Seattle had two players run surpass 100 yards rushing in the same game.

Seahawks Russell Wilson was intercepted in the final 3 minutes of the second quarter, the first time in five games he was picked off. The pass -- which appeared to be tipped at the line of scrimmage -- ended Wilson's string of 126 consecutive passes without an interception.

By the numbers

133 -- yards receiving for McCoy in the first 12 games.

105 -- yards receiving for McCoy in Game 13.

58 -- points Seattle scored Sunday.

57 -- points Seattle scored in its first three games combined.

3 -- possessions in which Arizona's offense crossed midfield.

3 -- completions of 17 yards or more for Russell Wilson in the first quarter Sunday.

2 -- completions of 17 yards or more for Seahawks in Week 1 at Arizona.

Injuries

Seahawks: RB Marshawn Lynch left the game in the second quarter with a sore back, but returned. S Chris Maragos suffered a strained muscle.

Cardinals: LB Paris Lenon left the game with a left ankle injury in the first quarter, but returned. DT Dan Williams left the game in the first half with a hamstring injury. C Rich Ohmberger suffered a right knee injury, forcing Arizona to go to its third different center this season.

Quoteworthy

Russell Wilson, Seahawks quarterback: "That is a hard thing to do in the National Football League, to be able to win the way we did."
