Red Bryant misses practice, expected to be back for game
But last week is an important measurement because Bryant was still able to play after sitting out the week, which bodes well for his availability this week.
"He was better Monday than he was last Monday," coach Pete Carroll said, "so we anticipate he's going to be OK to play. That was really a surprise. It was a big surprise that he made it back and played and played well. We limited his reps, but Red did a very, very good job in this game, helping us. We anticipate we can count on that again this week."
Linebacker Leroy Hill was limited in practice after missing Sunday's game in Chicago with a sore ankle. Malcolm Smith played well in Hill's absence, and in fact, has a chance to earn the starting job.
"He's got to get back," Carroll said of Hill, "and come back ready to go because he has a guy nipping at his heels. It's a beautiful thing."
Receiver Sidney Rice was limited in practice, but has been cleared to return after the blow he took on the final play of Sunday's game.
"We'll give him another day to get rest," Carroll said, "but he has went through all of the tests and procedures and he's in good shape right now. We have him as probable at this point."
