CB Marcus Trufant doubtful, WR Sidney Rice a question mark
That's not a surprise, though. Coach Pete Carroll indicated Wednesday that a foot injury had Bryant's availability in doubt.
The surprise Friday is that receiver Sidney Rice and cornerback Marcus Trufant are also among the players uncertain because of injury.
Trufant was diagnosed with a hamstring injury after Thursday's practice, and is considered doubtful for Sunday's game.
"We're really surprised that that popped up," Carroll said. "It's going to be hard for him to get back from that."
With Trufant doubtful, expect cornerback Walter Thurmond to be active for the first time this season, likely stepping into the role as the nickel cornerback, which Trufant has been playing.
Meanwhile, Rice did not finish Friday's practice because of his calf muscle, and while the Seahawks expect he'll be OK, they can't be sure.
"Just felt his calf tighten up a little bit so we just limited his work at the end of practice," Carroll said. "He made it through two-thirds of it. We've just got to see what happens tomorrow. We think he's OK."
Rice is listed as questionable on the team's official injury report, which translates to a 50-50 chance he will play.
As for Bryant, he didn't practice at all this week because of plantar fasciitis, which has bothered him the past month or so.
"We're going to take him all the way up to game time," Carroll said. "He's dying to play."
The other Seahawk who's a question mark is linebacker Leroy Hill, who did not practice Wednesday or Thursday because of a sore ankle, but ran at full speed and changed directions on Friday.
"He had a legitimate workout today," Carroll said. "We'll check him out tomorrow and again all the way up to game day."
