Pete Carroll: 'A situation that's between the players and the league'
Not much, he said Monday.
"We really can't comment on that at all," Carroll said. "That is a situation that's between the players and the league and we have no position to comment in any way about it."
Well, how about whether the coach was expecting those players to be able to play on Sunday in Chicago?
"As of right now?" Carroll asked. "Yeah. I'm planning on those guys playing."
Well how about the fact that there have been three other Seahawks suspended under the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs in the previous 13 months, and now there's the possibility of two more?
"Let me do it this way because it's so important that we do this properly," Carroll said. "I'm not going to comment about anything about it. That's the best way to do this. These are league issues, and at this point, I'm just going to keep it there. I hope that you can respect that's the way we have to do it, and we'll talk about it later on in a general, broader sense when we can."
