LB K.J. Wright, G James Carpenter ruled out for Sunday's game
Wright suffered a concussion on the first series of Sunday's game against Minnesota while Carpenter's head injury goes back more than a week.
"Both of those guys need a little bit more time," coach Pete Carroll said, "and so with the week coming up, we'll take great care of them and get them after the bye."
Mike Morgan will start in Wright's place at strongside linebacker while John Moffitt will be at left guard, starting at that spot for the second consecutive week.
Seattle has remained remarkably healthy, and Wright is the first defensive starter this season who won't be available for a game because of injury.
"Missing a frontline player like K.J., that's a big deal to us," Carroll said. "But it's not about who's stepping down, it's who's stepping up."
Defensive tackle Red Bryant missed the first two days of practice with a sore foot, but returned to practice on Friday and should be ready to play Carroll said. Safety Kam Chancellor had a sore quadriceps that kept him out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, but also seems ready to go.
