Nate Burleson, former Seahawk, lost for season in Detroit

Lions lose WR Nate Burleson for season
By Dave Birkett | Detroit Free Press Sports

Nate Burleson, a former Seahawk and O'Dea High School graduate, is out for the season after suffering a broken leg in the second half of Detroit's loss in Chicago on Monday night.

Burleson played four seasons in Seattle, signing with the Seahawks as a restricted free agent in 2006. He left for Detroit in 2010 after coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider arrived, and the Seahawks chose not to pursue re-signing Burleson as ardently as the previous administration had.

Burleson was third with 27 receptions for 240 yards. Burleson and quarterback Matthew Stafford are the only Lions who have scored more than one touchdown this season.
