Marcus Trufant sitting out practice with a sore back
RENTON -- Cornerback Marcus Trufant is not expected to practice Wednesday because of a sore back that first flared up on Sunday's game.
"We'll see how that goes and progresses during the week," coach Pete Carroll said.
Trufant's back has been an issue over the past three years, keeping him out the first six games in 2009, and landing him on injured reserve after five games last year.
Coach Pete Carroll did not say this was the same injury, but that it was related.
Trufant, 31, is the longest-tenured Seahawks, and this is his 10th season after he was drafted in the first round out of Washington State. He has been Seattle's third cornerback this year, brought on the field when the team uses its nickel defense.
Danny Gorrer and Byron Maxwell are the first two players the Seahawks will look at to fill that role if Trufant is unavailable.
