Doug Baldwin: A lesson in accountability
He failed to make what would have been an incredible catch.
There's a difference there that everyone should take a minute and notice. If Baldwin had held onto the ball in the end zone for what would have been a 13-yard touchdown catch in the final minute it would have been a remarkable as Baldwin was diving, fully extended, and Russell Wilson fired a fastball.
But as Baldwin pulled the ball into his body, he lost control when he hit the ground and then landed directly on top of the ball.
"Doug's layout would have been extraordinary, spectacular," coach Pete Carroll said. "The ground won that one."
Baldwin had the wind knocked out of him, but Carroll said afterward he should be OK. Baldwin Tweeted after the game about the play, and indicated that he may need some dental work.
Preciate the support from everyone. Tough day. Better days to come tho. I'll get some new teeth and we will be back smiling soon.
