Korey Toomer, Josh Portis to sign with Seahawks practice squad
Portis spent last year as the team's No. 3 quarterback after making the team as an undrafted free agent from California University (Pennsylvania).
Toomer was the only one of the 10 players Seattle drafted who was let go on Friday. He is a linebacker from Idaho whose size and speed made him a very intriguing prospect, but he's still a bit raw. Still, the Seahawks worried he would be claimed by another team.
They join Edawn Coughman on Seattle's practice squad. Receiver Ricardo Lockette also indicated he's rejoining the team, presumably on the practice squad.
Update: Tight end Sean McGrath will also be signed to Seattle's practice squad. He caught five passes in four exhibition games, tied for third-most on the team.
