Seahawks to release Kris Durham, last year's fourth-round pick
Corrected version
Wide receiver Kris Durham will be among the players let go by the Seahawks today. Durham was chosen in the fourth round of last year's draft. He caught three passes as a rookie before he was placed on the injured reserve to repair a shoulder injury.
Durham is the second player drafted in the fourth round during Carroll's first two seasons as coach to be released. Defensive lineman E.J. Wilson was let go in 2010 during his rookie season after Seattle picked him in the fourth round out of North Carolina.
It appears Durham is banged up, too, as he may be out two to three weeks. Durham is not injured.
Information in this post, originally published Aug. 31, 2012, was corrected later in the day. Reporter Danny O'Neil made an error in the previous report regarding which receiver is being discussed. Durham was not hurt, is not hurt and has not been hurt at any point in the past four weeks.
Apologies for the confusion, and if reporter Danny O'Neil makes another mistake regarding a healthy player, Danny O'Neil is the one who's going to wind up injured.
