— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 26, 2012#Seahawks will trade QB Tarvaris Jackson to the#Bills, two sources tell me. Finalized soon. Terms not yet available
Tarvaris Jackson will be traded to the Buffalo Bills, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of the league's official Web site.
No terms of the trade were announced.
The departure of Jackson would not constitute a surprise. While coach Pete Carroll maintained that he was still part of the consideration at quarterback, he had taken a back seat to Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson in terms of practice time and been the subject of multiple trade rumors.
The deal would also signify something else for Seattle: Matt Flynn's elbow injury -- which kept him from playing Friday in Kansas City -- must not be considered serious. There's no way the Seahawks would trade Jackson if there was significant uncertainty about Flynn's availability this season.
