Seahawks waive DE Dexter Davis, re-sign CB Donny Lisowski
Seattle waived Dexter Davis, a defensive end chosen in the seventh round in 2010, and re-signed cornerback Donny Lisowski, an undrafted rookie from Montana who attended O'Dea High School.
Davis was drafted out of Arizona State and played in 15 games as a rookie, but spent most of last year on injured reserve because of a hip injury. He was injured during a play in Saturday's exhibition victory at Denver, trainers coming onto the field to tend to him, but he returned to play.
Lisowski began training camp with the Seahawks, but was released to make room for Terrell Owens on Seattle's 90-man roster. Depth at cornerback could be a concern for this game, something signaled by the fact Leon Washington was returning punts into the second half. That indicated that backup cornerback Phillip Adams may not have been available.
