Chris Clemons to receive new contract

Defensive end Chris Clemons' future is no longer a question mark as the defensive end has agreed to a new contract.

There are no terms of the agreement, which is expected to be announced by Seattle later this week.

The new agreement was first reported by Mike Sando of ESPN, and subsequently confirmed independently.

Clemons led the Seahawks in sacks each of the two seasons since they acquired him in a trade from Philadelphia. He had 11 sacks in both 2010 and 2011. He was entering the final year of his contract.

No terms of the new deal were available yet.
