Details of Marshawn Lynch's arrest
The California Highway Patrol has released the incident report from Marshawn Lynch's arrest on July 14 in the East Bay Area. Here are some of the facts:
• Lynch was driving North on Interstate 880 in Oakland in a 2012 white Ford van. The arresting officer, Richard Washabaugh, alleged he observed the van weaving lane to lane and had two near collisions, and then initiated an enforcement stop to determine the condition of the driver.
• The officer alleged Lynch exhibited "objective signs of intoxication."
• Officer Washabaugh determined Lynch was impaired based on those signs as well as performance in field-sobriety tests.
• Lynch was placed under arrest and transported to North County Jail -- not Santa Rita jail as reported by the San Jose Mercury News -- without incident.
Note: No mention was made in the report of any measurement of Lynch's blood-alcohol content.
