No decision on Brian Banks' potential future as a Seahawk

RENTON -- Brian Banks' two-day tryout with the Seahawks ended Thursday, but his auditions may continue. The Vikings are potentially interested. So are the 49ers, and don't close the book on him with Seattle just yet.

"He exceeded my expectations," coach Pete Carroll said. "He looked much more comfortable than I thought he would. He's not in good shape yet and he's a ways from that, but I was really surprised that he fit in as well as he did."

He fits the specs at middle linebacker, that's for sure.

"Size-wise, strength-wise and all that kind of stuff he's in the right kind of profile so he did a good job," Carroll said. "We've got to look at the film and see what's going on with that, but I was really proud of him today."

Carroll said there was no decision reached on whether to offer Banks a spot on the roster.
