Video: Brian Banks after his first Seahawks practice

RENTON -- Linebacker Brian Banks took part in Wednesday's practice, playing middle linebacker. It was the first time in five years he had worn a helmet, so how did the former USC recruit -- who was exonerated of rape and kidnapping charges last month -- look on the field?

"Does he look like a ball player? Yes," said Ken Norton Jr., the Seahawks linebacker coach. "Does he move well? Yes. Is there a chance? Absolutely."

Consider that a good first day.

"It's fun having a guy out here that certainly has a little history, obviously there's a little rust out there," Norton said. "But the idea is can he line up and can he chase the ball? So far, it's about making a first impression and I like the first impression he left."
