Kick back? No, but kicker Steven Hauschka is back

Kicker Steven Hauschka has signed his one-year qualifying tender from the Seahawks, according to the player-salary database on the NFL Players Association Web site where his 2012 salary is listed at $1.26 million.

File this little transaction away in the corner reserved for other moves that stand as little more than foregone conclusions. Hauschka was a restricted free agent, but the deadline has passed for him to sign an offer sheet from another team. At that point, his return was largely academic.

The Seahawks signed Hauschka the week before the regular season started. He made 25 of the 30 field goals he attempted for the Seahawks, including two of more than 50 yards.
