The only reason his age warrants a note now is because in the media bio handed out on Thursday at the Seahawks' headquarters, his date of birth was listed as Jan. 11, 1990. I haven't spoken to Irvin about this directly, but it appears he was born Nov. 1, 1987.

Irvin is 24, a fact the Seahawks football operations were well aware of. It's important to point this out because they did not draft him thinking he was 22. They made their selection knowing that he is 24.
