Marshawn Lynch finds room to run

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Marshawn Lynch's 100 yards rushing was extraordinary.

Not for him necessarily since it's the sixth time in eight games he has rushed for 100 yards, but for San Francisco, it was remarkable. The 49ers had not allowed an opposing running back to rush for 100 yards in a game since Green Bay's Ryan Grant did it in November 2009. Lynch's 107 yards on 21 carries ended that 36-game streak.

"They're the best in the NFL," coach Pete Carroll said of San Francisco's run defense. "Today, our guys blocked them like other teams that we've played. I thought it was really, really stellar on our guys' part. Nobody has blocked them like that."

Lynch's 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter extends his franchise record to 11 consecutive games with a touchdown.

Cable brought his lack of discipline and sloppy play here from the Raiders. It probably cost the Hawks the win. Lynch is pretty good, the best RB...  Posted on December 25, 2011 at 1:31 PM by Ronbo. Jump to comment
Lynch awesome! Tom Cable is truly an OL Jedi. We need make sure Lynch and Cable are paid to stay too. Beast and Cable are too vital for Hawks success.  Posted on December 25, 2011 at 9:21 AM by Anicra. Jump to comment
I've had enough of T. Jackson. I want him to succeed, but you either have it or you don't...and he don't. Hail Lynch and the run...  Posted on December 24, 2011 at 8:05 PM by Danjsloan. Jump to comment
