Tarvaris Jackson and his hope chest
Posted by Danny O'Neil
RENTON -- Tarvaris Jackson would prefer a busier work week.
"I always want to be out there practicing," Jackson said.
But Jackson's injured pectoral muscle means that even now -- a month and a half after the injury -- he doesn't throw on consecutive days.
So while coach Pete Carroll said Jackson is feeling better this week than he was after previous games, Jackson was going to be limited in practice Wednesday. He will throw on Thursday and likely again be limited on Friday before being expected to start Sunday.
"They keep trying to remind me that the main objective is to be ready for Sunday," Jackson said. "It's kind of hard because I never really missed a lot of time like this."
As for throwing, Jackson said he's come to understand that's going to entail pain. Because he continues to play, it's slowing down the healing process.
"It's going to be like this until I either rest it or have surgery, whatever takes place," Jackson said. "I've already came to grips that it's going to be a process throughout the whole season to make sure that I'm ready for Sunday."
DL Alan Branch was not expected to practice Wednesday because of a sore ankle, and WR Ben Obomanu was out with a sore knee and ankle. Neither has been ruled out for Sunday's game, though.
