Game in Review: Cowboys 23, Seahawks 13
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Players of the game
DeMarco Murray rushed for 139 yards, the most allowed by the Seattle Seahawks this season.
Marshawn Lynch rushed for 135 yards, his most in a regular-season start since coming to Seattle. He scored Seattle's only touchdown of the game.
Play of the game
Tony Romo completed 19 passes against the Seahawks, none easier than the 33-yard touchdown to tight end Jason Witten in the third quarter. Witten was totally uncovered on the seam route after what appeared to be a miscommunication between linebackers K.J. Wright and David Hawthorne. The touchdown with 8:39 left in the third quarter gave Dallas a lead it never lost.
Turning point
The Seahawks had the ball, facing third-and-3 at the Dallas 13. Seattle trailed 6-3 with a chance to take its first halftime lead of the season when quarterback Tarvaris Jackson lobbed a pass too high for Sidney Rice, who was well covered. It sailed out of bounds incomplete. Receiver Mike Williams was wide open at about the Cowboy 5, which would have given Seattle a first down. The Seahawks kicked the field goal, tied the score at halftime and for the third consecutive week never did manage to hold the lead.
Seahawks surprises
• The Seahawks allowed a 100-yard rusher for the first time in which Red Bryant played an entire game at defensive end.
• Dallas' DeMarcus Ware, who had four sacks last week, did not have one against Seattle. The Seahawks allowed one sack, their second-fewest in any game this season.
• Seattle defensive end Chris Clemons did not have a tackle nor a sack.

Quoteworthy
Coach Pete Carroll: "This is a classic game where a football team goes out and plays real hard, does their stuff and then makes the mistakes that put you in the loss column. It started with the penalties, and the turnovers will be the story."
