Tarvaris Jackson not ruled for this week
Posted by Danny O'Neil
He just wasn't throwing them during Monday's 90-minute workout as Charlie Whitehurst worked with the first-unit offense. And while Seattle is proceeding as if Whitehurst will start Sunday at Cleveland, coach Pete Carroll has not ruled out the possibility Jackson will be ready.
"We'll just see how he does," Carroll said.
Left guard Robert Gallery, center Max Unger and tight end Zach Miller did not participate in the practice, but all may be ready to workout out Wednesday when the Seahawks resume their preparations.
Seattle will get a trio of players back at practice Wednesday when Cameron Morrah, Deon Butler and Roy Lewis are eligible to start practicing. All three are on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, and they are eligible to begin practicing with the team once the league week begins, which is after the Monday night game.
Seattle did sign Stephen Franklin at linebacker. A rookie from Southern Illinois, Franklin will wear No. 59.
So for roster accounting since the last game at New York:
In: LB Stephen Franklin, RB Allen Bradford, DT Jason Shirley.
Out: CB Marcus Trufant to injured reserve, LB Aaron Curry traded to Oakland, LB Jameson Konz to IR.
