Seahawks to add DL Anthony Hargrove

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Anthony Hargrove | NFL.com player profile

Defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove is in Seattle and joining the Seattle Seahawks, he indicated via his Twitter account.

The addition was also reported by Jason La Canfora of the league's official Web site.

Hargrove was originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams. He played the previous two seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

The Seahawks had not announced a transaction, but will have to release a player to make room for Hargrove. Seattle added two defensive linemen on Sunday, claiming Landon Cohen off waivers from New England and Al Woods off waivers from Tampa Bay.

Hargrove would be eligible to play in Sunday's season-opener at San Francisco if he is added to the 53-man roster on Saturday.

And if Hargrove was that good, then why did the Mariners cut him?  Posted on September 9, 2011 at 10:10 PM by Ronbo. Jump to comment
